TOP  TEN PEAKS























  • Masherbrum is located in the place of Ghanche District, Gilgit Baltistan of Pakistan. It has the height of about 7,821 meters that makes it as being the 22nd highest mountain in the world. The word Masherbrum means sunlight and brum means mountain which makes the mountain where sunlight never works in sense of melting the snow.
  • On the ninth spot we have the name of Disteghil Sar or Distaghil Sar that is the highest mountain in the Hispar Muztagh. It is basically known out to be a sub-range of the Karakoram mountain range as in Gilgit-Baltistan. It is the 19th highest mountain on earth and the 9th highest peak in Pakistan.


  • Gasherbrum II is famously prominent as the last peak in eight thousand meter ranking. This mountain is situated on the North West of Baltoro Glacier that is just besides Hidden Peak. You can call this mountain as one of the best peak to start high mountain climbing.
         
  • Batura mountain has the height of around 7,785KM and it is situated in Gilgit. This mountain lie near the middle of the Batura Muztagh as which is the only part of the Karakoram which is west of the Hunza River. Along with this mountain is the Hunza Valley that lies in the Gilgit District of the Gilgit-Baltistan area of Pakistan.
    
      

  • Khunyang Chhish is the sixth highest mountain in the Hispar Muztagh. It is defined as a subrange of the Karakoram mountains of Pakistan.It has the height of around 7823m. This mountain lies in the heart of the Hispar Muztagh and north of the Hispar Glacier that makes it turn out to be one of the major glaciers of the Karakoram. It rises on the southwest side of the Khunyang Glacier.
      

  • On the 5th position we have the name of Broad Peak with the height of about 8,016. This mountain is located in the place of Skardu. Broad Peak is part of the Gasherbrum massif in the place of Baltistan on the border of Pakistan and China. In simple we can say that it is located in the Karakoram mountain range about 8 kilometers (5.0 mi) from K2.


  • Falchan Kangri has been placed at the fourth spot with the height of about 8,047m. This mountain peak is most often used for the climbing and hiking purposes as some sort of practices.


 


  • Gasherbrum-1 mountain is 3rd highest mountain in Pakistan and the 11th highest peak on Earth. This mountain is located on the border of China-Pakistan. Gasherbrum-I is part of the Gasherbrum massif that is hence located in the Karakorum region of the Himalaya. Gasherbrum has the word which means “Shining Wall.”



  • On the second spot we have the well known mountain of Pakistan known as Nanga Parbat! This mountain has the height of about 8,125m and it is located in the place of Diamer. This mountain has extraordinary dramatic peak that is all rising far above its surrounding terrain. This mountain has witnessed with the great number of mountaineering deaths in the mid and early 20th century that give this mountain with the nickname “killer mountain”.



  • Last but not the least is the name of K2! This mountain has the height of around 8,611. This mountain has been mentioned to have the second-highest fatality rate among the eight thousands. Over this mountain during the climbing adventures one person dies on the mountain for every four who summit. It is impossible or rather calling the death towards you to climb this mountain in winter.

FAMOUS FORTS - Northern Areas Baltit Fort is an ancient fort in the Hunza valley in Gilgit-Baltistan, Pakistan. Founded in the 8th CE, it has been on the UNESCO World Heritage Tentative list since 2004. Historical Background In olden times a number of small independent states existed in the history of Northern Areas of Pakistan. Among them Hunza and Nager were the traditional rival states, situated on opposite sides of the Hunza (kanjut) river. The rulers of these two states, known as Thámo / Mirs (Thάm=S), built various strongholds to express their power. According to historical sources the Hunza rulers initially resided in the Altit Fort, but later as a result of a conflict between the two sons of the ruler Sultan, Shah Abbas (Shάboos) and Ali Khan (Aliqhάn), Shaboos shifted to the Baltit Fort, making it the capital seat of Hunza. The power struggle between the two brothers eventually resulted in the death of younger one, and so Baltit Fort further established itself
